Andy Pesek

Andy Pesek is one of three members of the Lead Team that collectively operate and lead daily operations of Sunergos Coffee in Louisville, Kentucky. His focus on the Lead Team is the Retail Department which includes 5 cafes, a bakery, marketing, and education. He has a passion for people, responsible leadership, and fostering relationships. As a leader of people he finds joy in facilitating and witnessing relationships take shape, through fostering spaces that allow this to thrive.

Andy has over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage world and has been focused on coffee, professionally, the past 8 years. Prior to working in coffee, Andy has worked in restaurants holding roles such as serving tables, bartending, and management. Most notably he was the Director of Training for an expanding brand where he designed and implemented staff training, management training, and standards for the company while overseeing and facilitating the company's expansion from one location to 17 locations. This work was formative in acquiring the understanding of what separates a smooth operation, from an unideal one. He has a track record for implementing strong systems for efficient operations with repeatable outcomes and a focus on quality and people.

Through his work, Andy has established countless relationships. His focus in leadership always begins with hospitality; both toward his staff and guests. He has come to embrace that good systems and consistent expectations is a hospitable stewardship of those he leads. Andy has been able to couple his passion for hospitality, relationships, and system building to foster spaces where staff and guests can relax and enjoy themselves.
