Bryce Mead is the founder of small beanz coffee co., a specialty coffee roastery built on a passion for craft, education, and community. His coffee journey began in 2007, experimenting with home roasting on a popcorn popper in the garage, and that early curiosity has grown into a deep commitment to coffee quality and knowledge-sharing.

In addition to running a micro-roastery, Bryce works full-time in the insurance industry as a Senior Underwriter for a mutual insurance company and is a licensed Property & Casualty Producer in several states. With a background that also includes aviation, his career path has been anything but conventional.

After founding small beanz coffee co. in 2018 and relaunching the business in 2023, Bryce has focused on building a brand centered on roasting combined with approachable specialty coffee education. His unique experience in both coffee and insurance gives him a practical and engaging perspective on risk management, operations, and business ownership and the ability to share and present in an approachable, easy to understand way.
