Ellen Ramos
Chef Ellen Ramos is the Executive Pastry Chef for the Los Angeles-based Muy Salsa Hospitality group, overseeing desserts at the acclaimed Loreto and CineOpera restaurants, and helming the baking at the venerated pan dulce shop and bakery, Santa Canela. A native Angeleno hailing from El Sereno, Ellen grew up in a second-generation Salvadoran Mexican family as the youngest of six kids. Her love for cooking was mightily influenced by her late father, an avid gourmand. In pursuing her culinary dreams, Ellen graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena and then spent years gaining experience at some of Los Angeles’ top places, including 71 Above, Redbird and the Patina Restaurant Group. Ellen has gained national attention for her signature style of homespun, classic desserts reimagined with the seasonal ingredients and multicultural flavors of Los Angeles.
