Joshua Chipley
Howdy! I'm Joshua Chipley (he/she/they), Emcee for the Latte Art World Championship Open at Coffee Fest, as well as Director of Coffee Events for the Houston Collective.
Before I began my career in coffee in 2015, I graduated the University of Houston at the Hilton College for Hotel & Retaurant Management, which gave me my educational foundation in hospitality. I would later join Tiny Boxwoods Productions and manage the first three locations of Tiny's Milk & Cookies, the pastry and coffee concept of the company. My curiosity for coffee led me to discover the Houston Coffee Collective in 2018, where I'd be introduced to coffee competitions and the communities it created. I would spend time honing my skills for my first Coffee Fest at Anaheim 2021, and I would team up with local professionals to revive the Houston Coffee Collective in 2023.
As a coffee professional, it has always been my vocation to create a sense of belonging for the people I take care of and the people I work with. As a host and emcee, my priorities are to facilitate a welcoming and exciting environment for competitors and spectators, to support coffee professionals in their respective fields. As someone who loves coffee, it is a passion to share my experience, knowledge, and techniques with others, so they may be inspired to further explore this caffeinated universe!
Committed to Diversity and Inclusion: Joshua Chipley enriches our conference with their experience as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
