Mo Maravilla

Mo Maravilla (she/they) is the owner and founder of Kindness and Mischief Coffee Roasters in Highland Park, Los Angeles. Her passion for community and representation led her to open K+M in 2016. Noticing a severe lack of women and particularly women of color in the coffee industry, and particularly coffee roasting, she started learning to roast in 2017 and is now proudly the first Filipina woman roaster in Los Angeles. Creating meaningful connections, experiences, and a safe and inclusive space for her team and marginalized groups has driven her to pursue opportunities for growth using coffee as the medium. Most recently, she and her team traveled to World of Coffee Copenhagen, serving their coffee to thousands of people attending and sharing K+M with the world. She hopes to continue nurturing her team and community by sharing her culture through each cup, and providing growth and empowerment through more opportunities like World of Coffee and beyond.
