Barista Workflow and Efficiency is an interactive 60-minute workshop crafted for baristas, managers, and cafe owners eager to build a faster, smoother coffee bar operation. This class dives deep into station setup, order multitasking, and efficiency techniques, enabling participants to maximize productivity without compromising quality.

Topics Covered: 

  • Station Setup & Organization: Practice creating an efficient workspace that minimizes downtime and optimizes movement.
  • Multi-Tasking Techniques: Master managing multiple drink orders simultaneously, from espresso shots and milk steaming to drink assembly.
  • Speed and Accuracy: Develop practical skills to increase speed while maintaining drink consistency, with a focus on repeatable techniques.
  • Customer Interaction: Learn methods to uphold great customer service even during busy periods.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Hands-on training in best practices for keeping your machine and workspace clean and operational during peak hours.

With guided exercises and practical tasks, attendees will actively work on each area of bar workflow. SOP templates will also be provided, offering structured takeaways to help implement these efficiencies back at their own cafes. This workshop is ideal for those ready to make impactful improvements in their daily bar operations.

In this small group workshop, the barista will have time to work with the machine and receive hands on coaching. Some of these topics will be covered in theory and demonstration only. This workshop is a mixture of lecture and hands on training.
