Tracing the Bean: A Cupping Journey Through Origin, Time, and Heat
This sensory session guides participants through a curated cupping flight that follows coffee through time - from its earliest traditions at origin to its modern expressions shaped by engineering, culture, and thermodynamics.
Each coffee is roasted in or near its country of origin, allowing attendees to taste the influence of climate, processing, cultural lineage, and heat application as coffee moves through history and geography. We explore how temperature, rate of rise, and energy transfer shape flavor at origin versus destination, and how local traditions, roasting choices, and historical narratives imprint themselves on the cup.
By tracing the bean from land to heat to moment, participants experience coffee as both a product of its past and a living expression of its evolving story.
